In today’s fast-paced, overstressed world, those of us who professionally care for the health and well-being of others often place ourselves at the bottom of the list when it comes to self-care. Everyone else’s needs come before our own; both at work and at home. The adage of “patient first” has unintentionally created an environment in health care that places the practitioner last.
